Dental Implants in Bingham Farms

Dental Implants by Dr. Kosinski

Our office is widely recognized as one of the top places in Michigan for dental implant services. We serve as a referral source for many other doctors across the state who send patients to us specifically for implant services.

Dental implants are one of the best investments you can make into your long-term well-being. They restore your teeth from root to crown. Whether you’re missing a single tooth or all of them, they’re a fantastic treatment option you should consider.

Technological advances have dramatically improved both implant design and function. They are made of materials that are biologically safe and compatible to the bone and other tissues in the mouth. Once implanted in the jaw, dental implants become part of your mouth and function and feel just like natural teeth.

With dental implants, you will be able to eat, speak, smile, and laugh with confidence again. If you are looking for a dramatically improved smile, want to restore your chewing ability, or if you have a problem with a loose fitting denture, then dental implants are an excellent choice.

Our Dental Implant Solutions

Dental implants are the permanent and comfortable tooth loss solution that empowers you to feel and look your best. Whether you need a single tooth replaced or an entire arch of teeth restored, we have dental implant solutions that will give you a stunning new smile.

Single-Tooth Implants

Ideal for replacing either a single tooth or several teeth throughout of your smile, single dental implants replace missing teeth better than any other tooth loss solution and cause no damage to the natural neighboring teeth.

Multi-Tooth Implants

Multi-tooth implant bridges are a great choice to replace a traditional dental bridge. Unlike conventional bridges that rely on natural teeth to stay in place, implant-supported bridges don’t rely on natural teeth and can even strengthen them by providing support.

Full Arch Replacements

We can also replace full arches of teeth with implant supported dentures. Unlike traditional dentures that are removable, this implant solution stays in your mouth and restores the healthy and attractive appearance of your smile.

Implant- Supported Overdentures

Our implant-supported overdentures are a great option we provide to replace conventional dentures. They are removable for easy cleaning and maintenance, and unlike dentures that require adhesives to stay in place, implant-supported overdentures are firmly anchored to your jaw with dental implants. They provide the full benefits of dental implants with the convenience of traditional dentures.

What are some of the benefits to dental implants?
There are a range of benefits to dental implants, such as:

  • Increased confidence when smiling
  • Improved appearance
  • Enhanced comfort and convenience
  • Restored function to chew and speak clearly
How successful are dental implants?
With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, dental implants show a 90-98 percent success rate for most patients. This includes brushing and flossing each day, and scheduling check-ups at least twice a year.
How do I know if I am a candidate for dental implants?
Ideal candidates for dental implants must be relatively healthy, meaning no uncontrolled medical problems, and must have enough bone for secure placement. If you have any questions, give us a call at (248) 646-8651 and we’ll explain the requirements.
How many implants will I need?
Generally, each missing tooth should be replaced with one implant. During your initial appointment, Dr. Kosinski will examine your oral health and take X-rays and models of your teeth to determine your treatment plan.
How long does the dental implant process take?
The duration of the dental implant process varies from patient to patient and their individual case. In most cases, sutures are removed in a week after implant placement, and healing time takes four to five months. Then, impressions are made for the final teeth, which can take a month or so.
Is the dental implant procedure painful?
Most patients compare implant placement to a simple or easier tooth extraction. It’s likely you’ll feel slightly sore, but not debilitated. We’ll provide you with proper pain medications, as necessary.
How long do dental implants last?
With good at-home care and proper oral hygiene, dental implants are designed to last a lifetime. However, long-term success can be affected by use of tobacco products and poor dental habits.
Can I replace my missing back teeth without a removable appliance?
Yes, we can replace any missing teeth with dental implants to support fixed artificial teeth. The implants are titanium root-like structures, placed in your jaw and secured to the bone. They’re long-lasting and designed to function like your natural teeth.
Can implants be placed the same day as an extraction?
A dental implant can be placed on the same day as an extraction if there isn’t an infection around the existing tooth and if there’s enough healthy bone. When teeth are lost, bone will shrink in several dimensions. Placing an implant immediately can reduce this bone loss and provide a better aesthetic result.
How much do dental implants cost?
The cost of dental implants varies depending on several factors, including the number of implants placed and type of restoration. During your initial consultation, we’ll give you a more accurate cost of your individual treatment.
Are implants covered by dental insurance?
Unfortunately, most dental insurance companies don’t cover implant treatment. We suggest contacting your insurance provider to get an accurate understanding of your coverage.

Testimonials

My new “flipper” has changed my life for better. It fits perfect and it is great to be able to eat other foods than eggs. Going out in the public and smiling is something I appreciate more than I ever have. Dr. K and the impression lady (can’t remember her name) did excellent work. A very special thank you to you. Without your help and understanding I would not be writing this. I am so grateful. Steven
Thank you so much for your careful attention and dedication to my beautiful implants. I feel so pretty. My self confidence and self esteem has just rose by leaps and bounds.
God bless you. You have certainly made a difference in my life. Jackie
