Dental Insurance Policy
We are happy to assist you with your dental insurance. Although, we require a payment contract with the patient, we are willing to bill any dental insurance company which will allow us, for reimbursement to the policy holder. That is, the insurance check will be paid directly to the subscriber rather than to this office.
It has been our experience that most insurance companies are prompt with patient reimbursement. Checks are generally received within three to six weeks of billing. For this reason, we accept all major credit cards. In many cases reimbursement is received by the patient before the credit card payment is due. If you find your dental insurance company tends to be slower to reimburse you, please ask us about extended payment options through Care Credit.
If the work you are contemplating is such that you want it done ONLY if you can expect insurance reimbursement, we can do one of two things:
- We can call your insurance company to determine if the work proposed is covered under your policy, and if the funds are available for this policy term.
- We can submit documentation to your company for “predetermination”. This process takes longer for an answer. This method DOES NOT PROVIDE A GUARANTEE OF PAYMENT any more than the telephone call. Your insurance company will tell you this.

CareCredit is a financial program that we’ve teamed up with to help you receive your necessary dental care. It works similarly to a credit card that specifically helps you pay for your dental expenses month-by-month.

Common questions regarding dental insurance
Do you ``accept`` my insurance?
What does it mean when they say you are not a ``participant``?
It simply means that we are not bound by the limitations set by your insurance company. We offer and discuss all options available to you without regard for third party restrictions.
How do I get my insurance company to pay me once I have paid you?
We will bill your insurance company as usual, but with a request to make payment directly to the subscriber.
Do I need to do any paperwork?
Not usually. We will give them all the necessary information including dental insurance codes, tooth numbers and narrative descriptions as needed.
What if they need more information?
We will be happy to provide it. Please forward any requests to us in their entirety, so we can comply in a timely manner.
What if the work is ``medically necessary`` and they won’t pay it?
We will provide a letter and any supportive documentation required to the extent of our ability. However, you must remember that medical necessity does not mean your company is required to reimburse you for work not covered under your contact for any reason. Your contract will have limitations dependent upon what type of package is purchased by your employer or yourself.
