BINGHAM FARMS, MICHIGAN – Popular teeth whitening methods, such as Zoom or BriteSmile, that take 90 minutes or more to complete are being replaced by a new laser tool that can whiten teeth in a matter of minutes.
Dr. Kosinski, who operates SmileCeator of Bingham Farms, Michigan, is incorporating laser teeth whitening in Michigan by using a diode laser for this new application. “We can now do excellent tooth whitening in about seven minutes,” says Dr. Kosinski, “This amazing technology is a very safe product with less sensitivity, a greatly reduced time for the procedure, and highly effective whitening. And you can do individual teeth without having to pay for an entire mouth.”
The diode laser used for this revolutionary whitening process is utilized for:
- Treatment of cold sores or apthous ulcers inside the mouth
- Contouring of uneven gums or removal of muscle pulling frenumns without anesthetic

- Relaxing muscles and increasing blood circulation
- Reducing pain and muscle stiffness after dental procedures
The laser tooth whitening procedure is applied separately three times in each quadrant of the mouth. Each application takes about 35 seconds (35 x 3 = 104 x 4 = 7 minutes). The charge for the entire mouth is $450.
While some people refer to use Zoom or BriteSmile as laser teeth whitening systems neither one uses an actual laser to whiten teeth. BriteSmile uses a gas plasma light/light emitting diode and Zoom uses a metal halide light.
Dr. Kosinski’s laser whitening procedure is far superior to using at-home peroxide-based teeth bleaching methods. At-home bleaching involves 30 minutes to several hours a day over a series of weeks while superior results can be obtained in only 7 minutes with true laser whitening.
